FAQ: VITURE One - Game & Stream Anywhere Anytime
For the most up-to-date information about the status of our project, check our project updates on Kickstarter!

There is another Viture on Kickstarter, are you guys the same company?

No. We actually had NO idea about this company until we launched the campaign and were notified by backers… Kickstarter doesn’t allow creators who haven’t fulfilled previous projects create new projects. You can find it in their policy. Sorry if this causes any confusion, but we are 2 completely different companies. As one of our backers mentioned before, no company is going to keep the same name after scamming people, we actually feel the same~~ But we do understand your concern. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We are always here to help! :)

What are XR glasses?

While some people might call them AR glasses, we prefer the term “XR glasses.” VITURE strives to become the defining brand of this category.

True Augmented Reality isn’t yet possible - in AR, the real world has to be perfectly combined and layered with virtual objects or backgrounds in real time, and the technology required for something like this doesn’t exist at the size required for a portable device like glasses (yet). Instead, VITURE One is focused on Extended Reality (or XR), an expansion of the real world. Our XR glasses look like ordinary, stylish sunglasses, but contain a virtual screen inside that enables you to play games or watch movies anywhere, anytime on a 5G/Wifi connection - a uniquely portable way to enjoy your favorite forms of entertainment on the go.

Connected with our neckband, you will have almost all major cloud gaming and video streaming services at your fingertips. Pair your favorite controller and start watching or playing at the touch of a button.

What does the neckband actually do?

Powered by All-in-one OS, the neckband includes almost all major cloud gaming and video streaming services pre-installed, including GeForce Now, Stadia, Xbox Cloud, Twitch, and more. The neckband connects to the glasses with a convenient magnetic cord and allows you to pair your favorite controller and start watching or playing at the touch of a button.

The neckband is super lightweight. You won’t feel it even wearing it all day long.

How can I play AAA/Xbox/PS/mobile/PC games anywhere, anytime?

VITURE One’s neckband runs All-in-one OS and is made for cloud gaming, remote play and video streaming.

The most convenient way to start playing your favorite AAA titles are cloud gaming platforms: GeForce Now, Stadia, Xbox Cloud Gaming, Parsec and many more. With these services, you don’t have to own a console or PC and can play at 60fps in 1080p without lag on any Internet connection of 100Mbps+. This experience may even exceed your own PC/console’s capabilities - for example, GeForce Now provides their cutting edge GTX 3080 + ray tracing technology over the cloud!

For PlayStation 5 and 4, you can install the PSPlay app and pair with your PS5/4. After pairing, you can access your PlayStation library from anywhere over 5G or WiFi.

Similarly for Xbox, you can sideload the Xbox Game Pass app and play all your Xbox games over the cloud.

For PC, you can install Steam Link, Moonlight (Nvidia graphics card), or AMD link (AMD graphicscard) and pair with your PC. After pairing, you can play your PC games anywhere with a 5G or WiFi connection.

You can even play mobile games. Just install and play!

How can the Switch connect to a pair of shades? It doesn’t have a cloud connection like the Xbox or PlayStation.

You’re right - that’s why we designed a Mobile Dock that will function as a bridge between your Switch and VITURE One. The dock is small and easily portable.

Will I be able to use them to watch movies?

Yes, of course! Powered by All-in-one OS, the VITURE neckband supports almost all major video streaming services, including Apple TV, Hulu, HBOMax, Disney+, Prime Video, Twitch, and more. Watching your favorite film or series at the touch of a button.

Last updated: May 17, 2022 05:57

Are the glasses plug and play/all in one, or will I have to plug into the neckband? Will I need any other device to get started?

For the best experience, we highly recommend that you connect the glasses with the neckband, which has All-in-one OS installed. The neckband is super light-weight and comfortable. Then, simply pair your favorite controller and start playing or streaming your favorites from any apps preinstalled on the neckband!

Where does the sound come from?

We’ve partnered with a prestigious speaker company to deliver the best possible audio system: a directional speaker embedded in the glasses temple (a similar design and function as the Bose frames). VITURE One will also support your favorite Bluetooth audio devices so that you can listen in privacy or in loud spaces.

How is the picture/video quality compared to VR headsets? Will we see pixels?

No pixels at all. Viture One’s pixel density (PPD: 55) is equivalent to a retina display, which is 2.3x that of the Oculus Quest 2 and 3.4x of the Quest 1.

PPI (pixels per inch) is used to describe the density of pixels of physical displays. A retina display’s PPI is 300-400 - pixels are invisible to the human eye at this level.

For AR/VR, we use PPD (pixel per degree) instead. A retina display’s PPI converted to PPD is nearly 60. VITURE One’s PPD is 55. In comparison, most VR headsets’ PPD is under 30: Oculus Quest 1’s PPD is 16, Quest 2’s PPD is 24.

VITURE One’s image quality is much better than any of VR headset!

What is the latency like?

Great question! VITURE One has All-in-one OS installed, so it will enable you to play cloud gaming anywhere as long as there is a stable network connection. If your connection is 100+Mbps, you won’t feel any latency at all! If you’re playing on a network that’s only around 40Mbps, a latency of 20ms is typical. Faster networks, such as 5G, are usually below 10ms. Cloud gaming and console streaming are now practically seamless!

What if I already wear glasses?

You can easily adjust each lens of the glasses to your prescription (0 to -5.00D) with the convenient knobs on top. If your prescription doesn’t fall into this range, no worries, to make sure everyone has access to the fullest experience VITURE One can offer, we’re developing a prescription frame that magnetically attaches to the glasses. Feel free to add it in the add-on section, thank you!

For gaming, will I need to be on the same network as the console I am streaming, or will I actually be able to connect to it from anywhere?

You can connect from anywhere over a 5G/Wi-Fi connection! For example, PSPlay can connect to your PS5/4 over your cellular network; Moonlight can connect to your PC over a cafe’s Wi-Fi, and so on. Enjoy your games anywhere, anytime.

Last updated: May 17, 2022 05:57

How far can I be away from my console to use this device?

As long as you have a stable 100Mbps+ network at both ends, the gaming experience is as smooth as if you were in the same room.

Last updated: May 17, 2022 05:57

Will it be possible to use these for computing - for example, with a Mac Mini?

Yes! You can port the glasses to any devices with USB-C and DP signal. Mac is supported.

Is VITURE One a virtual reality device? Does it only work on a Windows PC or will it also work with an Oculus Quest 2 VR headset?

VITURE One is different from VR headset - it’s an XR (extended reality) system that creates a virtual screen that functions as a 120” TV at 3 meters.

VITURE One will work with Windows PCs (but also with Mac!) - you can install Steam Link, Moonlight (for Nvidia graphics card), or AMD link (for AMD graphics card) and pair with your PC to play your PC games from anywhere over a 5G or WiFi connection.

Last updated: May 17, 2022 05:57

Do you support Plex?

Yes, VITURE One supports virtually all video streaming apps available on the system. You can access and enjoy your personal Plex media library on the go without watching on your phone!

Will it hurt eyes after long use?

No. Using VITURE One actually puts less strain on the eyes than using a mobile phone.

There are three things that affect the vision most when dealing with screens:

Being too close. The smaller the screen, the more your eyes have to strain to focus and the greater the fatigue. VITURE ONE’s virtual screen is at an apparent distance of 3 meters - much better when compared to 0.5m or closer (the distance of your arm) for mobile phones.

Too dark. Without proper lighting, the eyes need to make a greater effort to see. VITURE One’s optical engine provides up to 1800 nits brightness and users can easily adjust the brightness to their comfort level. 3.

Too small. When font size is too small it’s difficult to read and causes more eye fatigue. Mobile phone screens average around 6.7 inches - all the content is small, and you have to either hold it closer to read or strain your eyes. VITURE One’s screen is 120 inches, so everything is easy and comfortable to read.

How’s the battery life?

On a single charge, you can expect an average battery life of 2 hours while gaming or 3 hours while streaming video. But you can directly connect the neckband to our mobile dock and enjoy 10 hours non-stop play time.

Last updated: May 17, 2022 05:57

What's the refresh rate of the glasses?

VITURE One’s virtual screen has a refresh rate of 75Hz.

It looks so cool! How do we know that we can actually get the product?

Good question! Almost all of our team members have years of experiences in this industry and there are a few things we want to mention as well:

  1. “Project We Love” by Kickstarter. KS rarely marks an AR/VR project as PWL due to the high risk of fulfillment. Our EVT version already realizes all the features mentioned here and is very convincing. We also have investors who believed in us at the very early stage, that is how we reach the EVT phase today. We have a long term plan to become a great company.

  2. Collaboration with LAYER. LAYER is one of the most prestigious design firms that designed B&O’s iconic speaker and have partnered with many top brands such as Google and Nike. They never work with a nowhere company. They are also very excited about our product and has promoted it on their official IG account and multiple media channels.

  3. Collaboration with Harman. Same as above, Harman is the most well-known audio brand, the audio engineers behind the magnificent sound systems found in Mercedes Benz and BMW automobiles. We are so proud to partner with them.

  4. Manufacturing with the major manufacturer for Apple & Nokia. They are also very selective and usually don’t work with startups. Your VITURE One will be produced from the same manufacturing line with the most advanced machinery and will pass all the strict reliability tests. You will receive updates about our progress in manufacturing along this journey.

Please rest assured that you will not only get the product, but also get the best product in this industry! We just know you will love it!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
